Recently, I got back into shooting my bow! One of the main reasons for that was because we had just finished building a new archery target! As you can see below, we cut some sheet foam into strips, glued the strips together, then rolled them all together.

Not long after that Papa gave me a shooting project, to record my hits and misses, so that later on we could analyze the data.
After a while, when we got enough data to do something with, Papa taught me a little bit about working with spreadsheets and graphs. So we built a spreadsheet, and a chart: later we got a couple more spreadsheets and charts up, so that now we have we had 4 spreadsheets, and 7 charts.

When we had enough data to do something with, we started to look for patterns in my shooting. When we didn’t see any patterns, we realized that the only reason that we would not see any patterns would be because my shooting was inconsistent.

So I started shooting fewer arrows. It was then that we realized that I was not setting my anchor point all the time, so I decided to stop collecting data and focused on my anchor point.

When I was a little bit better at hitting my anchor point, Papa showed me how to string walk! That same day, we took some wooden shafts and made some new arrows. I also built myself a bamboo quiver!

I hope that when I am grown up I will be able to shoot well like Papa, but that will take a lot of practice. In the meantime, I hope that we will have seen some more patterns in my shooting.

Wow! I got the arrow shooting part.
But you lost me when you started talking about data, spreadsheets, and charts!!!! LOL
My brain clicked “off”.
But so very proud that you are learning new skills that will surely be useful to you in life.
I used information like this in business however I relied on others to give me the data.
You will be able to do it yourself!!!!
I love these post, Levi! Thanks for sharing your new skills!!
