I would like to tell you a story that happened to me a few weeks ago. You’ve probably already heard bits and pieces, but I would like to tell you the whole story. It all happened on a Tuesday, a few weeks ago. Noah and I were playing a game; I don’t remember what, but sometime during the game we had to get on a train. (Now, because it was a Tuesday we were at the library, and were playing around the picnic tables). I decided that it would be fun to jump from table to table, like my brothers and I have done many times before, “minding the gap”. That was when it happened, instead of landing, my right leg went straight through the board!!! Noah went and got Mama, who after looking at it, called Papa. By then, the flies were bugging me so much that I got up and limped around on it. By the time Papa got me to the hospital, the inside of my right knee was about the size of my fist, maybe a little smaller. After we had waited for about 15 minutes, Papa asked one of the nurses to clean my  wound. Now the inside of my leg was VERY bruised and slightly cut, and the outside had quite a large scrape. After that, we had an x-ray, and praise God, nothing was broken. At about 6:30, we left the hospital and went home. Papa bought me an immobilizer. We had supper and went to bed. The immobilizer was very annoying because I could not bend my knee; coupled with that, I could not walk very well or long because my leg hurt. A few days later, my whole leg from halfway up my shin to just past my knee was all purple and green with bruises. A few days after that, we had a doctor take a sonogram of my knee, to make sure no tendons were torn (I think). By the time a week had passed, the traumatologist told me that I could take the immobilizer off and start stretching it. Now, 3 weeks later, I am running around on it. It still gets tired out more easily than normal, but it’s doing a lot better. Thank you all for prayers and encouragement.
