Nate has always been very creative in building Legos. I remember when we were younger we used to take his ideas and improve upon them, but he was by far the best of us at starting from scratch!

Here is a recent Lego creation that I built and he improved on.

Nate and Levi: Lego Builders!

I remember when I was very young, Uncle Brendan gave Dan and I some Legos. I remember that I had a fireman set, and Dan had a policeman set, we really enjoyed playing with them.

Then Nate started to play. The game became more fun and complex because there were more people playing.

After a while, he started to make up his own things, and he just took off. We liked his things so much that we decided to modify them to our own liking, and so we did.

Then, two things happened. First, we got some really cool instruction booklets, and I started to build some of those on my own. Next, Papa came along and built a shuttle, that encouraged me to build even more with and without the booklets.

So I started to build even more things without instructions. Although, at the first, most all of the things that I built were shuttles, but as I got more experienced I started building other things such as horse pulled wagons, and cars, and so on.

One time, I built a speeder. A good while later Nate picked it up and decided to modify it. When I found out that he had modified my speeder I felt very happy. This time he modified my thing, which meant that my thing was good enough for him to modify! I don’t remember him ever modifying my things before.

I think that the Legos have made my creativity spark more than before I had Legos. Before Legos I had little interest in coloring or sketching, but now I rather enjoy those things.
